2009 – PSO failures can be predicted by high pre-op SVA and Pelvic Tilt

Mar 26, 2012 by

Summary: PSO technique has been reported as a method to obtain significant sagittal re-alignment, although sub-optimal results may still occur. This retrospective multi-center study on patients who underwent a lumbar PSO, suggested that failed post-operative alignment can be predicted and that a PSO alone for marked sagittal mal-alignment may be insufficient to obtain acceptable radiographic outcome.
